"What: Edinburgh-born Martin Wishart is one of Scotland’s most famous chefs and this Leith flagship (he has another restaurant on the shores of Loch Lomond) has held a Michelin star since 2001. What started nearly five years ago as a family business has grown into one of the most coveted bakeries in the city, with a café at The Shore, a small picnic parlour in the Canongate and now also Mimi's Bakehouse Corstorphine on St John's Road. Today it’s still very much owned and run by Mimi and her family, and their passion is baked into every cake, scone and traybake they make."
